Introduction:

The continent of Merita has the oldest known records of laws against homosexuality in human history. In The 77 Commandments and 42 Negative Confessions of Kmt the states : Though shall not sin against nature with ones own kind. Culturally speaking the first known cultures in which homosexuality was not only practiced but sanctioned as normal was European culture from the remotest times in human history even before Greece and Rome ( See the Lecture on the Nubian Origins of Kemet by Dr Yosef Ben Jochannan for details and John Henrik Clarke’s works on European History. Also read:  The Ice Man Inheritance by Michael Bradley w/ a forward by Dr John Henrik Clarke). The other ancient culture that sanctioned homosexuality as a normal part of human sexual expression was Samurai culture of Japan. See my Incisions with Precision Presents: Millie Pulled a Pistol on Santa by De la Soul for more details.

In Traditional Africa the human family was the MOST important aspect of society and ones children were always considered ones wealth NOT monetary accumulation nor the accumulation of possessions. Since genetic reproduction is literally the only way to perpetuate the species and to survive after death for Africans in the spiritual sense (see my essay Resurrection: The History of the African Male as Deity for more info as well as my essay entitled: Cooperative Intelligence: Important Spiritual Lessons from a ‘Simple’ Organism. You can also see the article entitled Reincarnation by Innocent Onyewuenyi for details) the outlawing of homosexuality in African culture and the antiquity of such laws is testament to the fact that Africans have historically and culturally dealt with living in concert with nature in all of their activities on the planet.

African aversion to homosexuality historically has more to do with the fact that the practice is anti-nature since it is non-productive as far as reproduction and the sex act itself is geared towards gross satisfaction of the senses and not procreation. Also these practices historically have led to rapid spread of disease through these mechanisms of sexual expression.

In Kmtic culture this sexual behavior pattern would be a trait of Set. Set also has a history of  rogue anti-societal activity in Kmtic folklore which is directly attributed to his status as a deity of opposition, gross satisfaction of the senses and obsession with pleasure, violence and domination (Set also has characteristics as a benevolent deity too in Kmtic Culture no deity is ALL bad like in Western Spirituality). Since as a continent Africa has had heterosexuality woven into the fabric of our existence as a race this new perversion of African societies based on a foreign Eurasian cultural practices bought with the invasions of Europeans and Arabs when they conquered different African societies imposing their cultural norms and religions under the  terrorism of slavery and forced religious conversion. People should not be forced to practice the behaviors of foreigners who are not only a cultural invader force but also a colonialist scourge that through their tyranny and theft now control the political and economic sovereignty of the people they subjugate. It is like someone moving into your house without your permission telling you how to live your daily life with the threat of death if you do not follow their ways.  When things like this happen there will be violent reactions to enforcing alien cultural norms on a people whose culture has always been the exact opposite to those that are colonizing them. Thus the reason in many places in Africa the reaction to gay rights is becoming more aggressive and volatile. Also superimpose the scourge that Xtianity and Islam has been as far as their extreme interpretations of the western religious holy books and the fact that Africans have also adopted these extremist practices and interpretations of scripture from their conquerors the potential for violence is heightened to a fever pitch. Especially now that these foreign religions have effectively stamped out the indigenous culture in many places around the continent.

Below is an article that speaks to this issue as it is happening on the continent today. America and other European powers are penalizing  impoverished African countries all in order to force them to accept practices that are considered to be not just anti African because they came with the invader populations but anti human as well as since this behavior threatens the very existence of humanity because it will deplete the population both through by lessening the birth rate and the spread of disease.

All African Scholars that have discussed this issue have done so from a historical socio-cultural perspective using ancient African history of the indigenous populations to support their claims of the practice of homosexuality not being a cultural norm of African people until the advent of being forced to live with their invaders and also being forced to live with the decisions made for them by their invaders and historical enemies.

As you will see below the actual populations of different African ethnic groups are the ones most averted and expressive of their disdain for attempts at being forced to adopt these practices not just the political bodies of these regions. When a populace is in the majority and they don’t want laws that they feel are not natural to be enforced and forced upon them why should foreign invaders who have systematically raped and pillaged and committed intergenerational genocide be allowed to decide the fate of their victims? For a most detailed treatise on this  topic see Homosexuality and the Effeminization of the African Males by Dr Larry Crawford aka Mwalimu Baruti. He really lays the truth bare as well as the works of Laila Afrika. This issue of gay rights in Africa is not about hatred but about being forced to accept cultural norms that are foreign to your way of life by those who have subjugated your people ruthlessly for centuries. No one likes to be told what to do in their own home or their own homeland and Africans are no different in this human reality. If this cultural repression and extortion continues from these colonizers it will serve to up the ante of social aggression and repression of these alien ideologies and cultural expressions. West bullying Africa over gay rights

By Sixpence Manyengavana

The West is bullying Africans into homosexuality. Many Africans subscribe to the notion that homosexuality did not exist in Africa but is only surfacing openly in the continent because of western encouragement. Africa’s zero tolerance on homosexuality is full-proof that the practice is outlawed in most of the continent’s countries.

South Africa became the first nation in the world to explicitly prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation in its constitution and it is the only nation in Africa that gives equal rights to gays. In 1993 the African National Congress (ANC) endorsed legal recognition of same-sex marriages. These provisions were echoed in their new constitution approved in 1996, meaning that gays can marry and adopt children. But not all ANC members, including the South African President Jacob Zuma, support the recognition of gay rights.

However, the rest of African countries consider homosexuality as against God’s creation and that it is an evil act performed by sexual perverts – gays. In Malawi gay rights organizations work clandestinely. Recently two gay men were arrested for holding an engagement party in December 2009. They are being charged with unnatural practices and gross indecency after receiving a thorough beating from the general public. The gay couple could face up to 14 years in jail.

In Uganda, a lawmaker proposed harsh penalties for homosexuality, including the death penalty in some cases. President Yoweri Museveni came under pressure from the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton after an anti-homosexuality bill which stipulates the death penalty for “aggravated homosexuality” was tabled in parliament in Kampala. The US and Sweden, both big donors to Uganda, have threatened to cut off aid after the country expelled the local director of UNAIDS, the United Nations programme on HIV, for organising a meeting with Ugandan gay activists.

In Kenya the police recently broke up a gay wedding that saw the arrest of many guests. An irate mob had thronged the venue threatening to kill the participants.

Nigeria has not been spared by the western influence that is encouraging homosexuality. In Muslim northern Nigeria the penalty for homosexuality is stoning to death.

In Senegal nine Senegalese gay activists were jailed for eight years after coming out in the open following an International Aids conference attended by foreign activists who stressed the need for gays to be dealt with openly.

In Mozambique organizations in defense of the rights of the minority gays are being established though gay rights movements are not officially registered. The largest number of gays is found in Maputo. They are not fighting for the legalization of same-sex marriage but for recognition of their rights which the Mozambican society is against.

Homosexuality is also illegal in Zambia. The Zambian Minister of Home affairs was quoted as saying that homosexuality is “unAfrican” and according Zambian law it is a felony that carries a minimum prison sentence of 14 years.

Zimbabwe has joined other African nations in condemning homosexuality. Now that the country is in the process of writing a new constitution, the issue of homosexuality has been raised with MDC-T advocating for the recognition of homosexuals. President Robert Mugabe was scornful of the idea of gay rights which he said would make Zimbabwe’s ancestors turn in their graves. MDC-T is just rallying behind whatever the West says in the interest of maintaining their traditional financiers no matter how scornful and unAfrican the idea may be, as long as it has been dictated to them by their “masters”, they have to give it their full support.

As Zimbabweans, we should identify with our cultures and let us try to avoid humiliating ourselves by adopting foreign cultures in our constitution. Let us fight for a home-grown constitution without foreign connotations. Zimbabwe is a Christian country and if we truly follow the teachings of the Holy Bible we will not forget that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God for no other sin but homosexuality.

Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has gone against his party’s position and sided with President Mugabe in condemning the issue of including gay rights in Zimbabwe’s new constitution. Surprisingly, James Maridadi, the spokesman for Tsvangirai issued a statement contradicting his principal to the effect that what Tsvangirai said was his personal opinion and not MDC-T position. He forgets that whenever Tsvangirai responds to official issues he will be speaking from the position of authority as leader of and on behalf of MDC-T.

This is not the first time that Maridadi has spoken against his principal. When Tsvangirai finally admitted on the issue of sanctions, Maridadi professed ignorance that Zimbabwe was under economic sanctions which left Zimbabweans wondering whether he knew what economic sanctions were or he was being economic with the truth.
